After work I went to Guitar Center today to buy 2 KRK Rokit 8 Generation 2 Studio Monitors. I also bought a Alesis multimix 4 usb mixer to connect the Rokits to my computer using TRS cables.

In this video i test the mixer out with a JBL 15" speaker, first connecting the TRS cable to the main out of the mixer and than to the headphone's slot on the mixer.

Thanks for watch and subscribing!!!

Stay tune for when my Monitors come in.

  • can u use the mixer as a stand alone like if i wanted to plug in my dj mixer to the line in would i have to have my computer on for it to work

  • @xxEATmyDUBxx yes you could plug in a dj mixer to it

  • @savagetutorials When I google images, I see a 9v 1A power input so you might be able to use it as a standalone mixer. Best to go to guitar center or some other shop and check.

  • @yanasitta yes you can use it as a stand alone im currently using it with a keyboard work station alone with out a pc or usb plug in

  • Can you plug in an mp3 player to the line in?

  • YOU ARE CLIPPING YOU IDIOT!!

  • can you hook it up to an ipad?

  • where did you get the usb

  • @OLProductionsLive SIGNAL-TO-NOISE RATIO: Line: > 92 dB

(max output; JIS A-weighted) Mic: > 62 dB. Mic pre will have some noise but line seems fine. Other things will come into play like potentiometer quality. This will do for "scratchpad" type of projects but not for studio quality stuff.

  • @abe79901 Since each channel is independent, you would need a 3mm to dual 6mm, one for each channel. Line in on 3/4 would work or on 1 and 2 if you don't need the mic pre at the time you are playing your MP3 player.

  • @ndirishfan74 Is it a desktop or laptop? If its a laptop, try disconnecting it from Ac power. If you hear no more noise then you have ground loop noise. Since the mixer does not have it's own wallwart you should not but I have no idea how you have things hooked up. The laptop PSU does generate some noise though.

  • @Pippa01sam Xlr is better but you wont ruin anything by using trs. I was using trs and just switched to XLR. either one should be balanced.
