Vincent Tuohy, PhD, immunologist and 2010 Sones Innovation award winner is featured for his ground breaking work on a breast cancer vaccine. The vaccine targets a protein found in breast tumors and not in healthy breast tissue. Paul DiCorleto, PhD, Chairman, Lerner Research Institute comments on this new discovery. Dr. Tuohy has developed the first breast cancer vaccine to be proven effective in a mouse model.
