@rotaryturb0 Mate I'm 18, joined when I was 17 - I need 8 credits in English and 6 credits in maths to complete NCEA level one - The reason they didn't take you on wasn't because you didn't complete NCEA level 1, It might have something to do with you being a sack. - What was your run time and exercises? If they weren't G1 and up mate... You'll have no chance in Waiouru.

@Mimikster3000 a blank is a type of cartrige for a firearm that is loaded with gunpowder that has no bullet or shot.
meaning the firearm can still produce an explosive and a flash mainly used for simulation events.

@OfficialNZarmy what are blanks? That just all I want to know.
-
@Minarapa Obviously things have changed since I was at school, we needed 81 credits to ge NCEA 1...and my 'run time and exercises' were nothing ... like I said, they didn't try me out. They read 'No NCEA 1' and then threw it out. I'm over it, I'm earning more money than you'd ever earn in the army now anyway.

Hello, I would like to know how long the initial contract is, ie how long you have to serve. Also is there some sort of transfer between NZ Royal Police and any other branch of the armed services?
Are there even any bullets coming out of the guns??

@go3002
For safety reasons during training exercises blanks are used.
