Everyone in the comments is a bunch of goofs, I bought my ps3 7 years ago, this happened today, replaced the thermal compound and it works fine.

I'm so upset. I waited all summer for this game's price to go down. I waited all semester! I finally come home, buy the game, and as soon as I click new game, it shuts off. Now, it does this. First world problems, but it's fucking annoying! D:
