this is already being done on ps3 without infrared.someone also modded the ps3 eye with infrared capabilities.

hmm, thered be no force-back when you hit objects.
It wouldnt be as immersive as Wii, could only be used single player, would feel awkward doing MOST motions without something to hold (like a golf club or a weapon).
I cant wait to see where this product goes (or doesnt) anyway....
