Blue Mountains Bushfires Olympian Pde Leura

Some raw vision from the backyard of homes being threatened by this Bushfire incident at Leura on 20th Sept 2011.
This came within metres of more than a dozen homes.
Over 50 firefighters were lined up along backyards to battle the flames and as a result no damge was caused to any property even though the wind was blowing the flames, smoke and water from their own hoses right into the firefighters faces.

i was on the Hazo crew the night baby sitting this fire as it made the run towards houses, was a good example to one of our new members why we need to be spot on with our hose rolling and bowling as it was only us and glenbrook 7 when it made a run for the houses around the 4-430 mark
