musicians dont cover other peoples songs for the sake of doing it better its purely respect for another musician that may have influenced them when they were growing up true musicians dont deal with the "whos better" bullshit....its nothing but respect

Michael has respect for musicians, never for one minute believe that he was wanting to out do Ronny, he was just doing his part, and a pretty dar n good one at that.

@woofycalling My best friend and I (2 old farts;) went to a Trower Concert at a small hall years ago. After the show, my friend wanted to dash right away & beat the crowd out of the parking lot. Not sure why, but I kept telling him we should stick around, & I joked that maybe we could meet the band. Most cleared out & lo & behold, Davey Pattison, Glenn Letsch & I think Skip Gillette (all former Gamma Members), sat w/us at the bar, signed autographs, etc. Trower stayed backstage. Nice guys!!!

IMHO a writer usually has the easiest and best interpretation of his own material. Yes, it was Ronnie we heard play when we all fell in love with this song and Davey Pattison's vocals. However, I hear the heart of a true string bender and fret wrecker coming through with his own interpretation and I love it. Mostly due to Davey's vocals, but also because I respect Michael's ability to honor a song while not feeling the need to mimick it! Well done all! Peace Always and All Ways! Dave Van Kleeck

Your completely right, Michael Schenker is a classy guy who appreciates musicianship. He is one of the most under rated guitarist I can think of to date.

Right on,I think between all Musicians They all respect each other & I think they appreciate when another makes a cover ,they are not thinking is a challenge but a honor,is the fans that sweat it out for no reason & is not just this 2 guitarists!

What is also amazing is vocalist Davey Pattison, who plays also with Robin Trower and isn't a young man, though he rocks big time
