I prefered the Version over the second one.... Way more heat management Options made this one much more challenging...

Our center here in Montreal closed in september 1997 and we've been longing for someone to reopen one ever since. The equipment would be almost dirt cheap now compared to what they had to pay in those days and the graphics could be immensly upgraded. If only...

Eclipse is a hell of a dodger. Goddamn, do I ever wish I could play this version. Visceral sound effects and arguably better graphics.

Have the graphics for the game been updated since this vid was taken?

Goddamn I miss this game...
"Danny Glover" at Lazerpark was the name =)
This was a great system. OK, I wrote all the software for the plug-in 3D card, for it so I'm biased, but even so, it was a really, really good system. Most impressive for me was how the art team at VWE got so few polygons - less than 2,00 per frame - and so little texture - 768 kbytes of texture RAM, no paging allowed! - to look so amazing, by closely correlating the geometry to the textures.
Fabulous system, great game. Ace explosions!

baisically...
This version ran before Mechwarrior 4 was released - hell, even before mechwarrior 3 was released I think. Firestorm came out, and converted all the pods to an engine much more similar to mech 4.
