How should the American people assess the performance of their president? One way is to examine key performance metrics, such as jobs, economic growth and inflation.

This video offers a comparison of some of these metrics from at the beginning of President Obama's term to now. Decide for yourself if you are better off today than you were then.

  • The day the Democrats took over was not January 22nd 2009, it was actually January 3rd 2007, the day the Democrats took over the House of Representatives and the Senate, at the very start of the 110th Congress.

The Democratic Party controlled a majority in both chambers for the first time since the end of the 103rd Congress in 1995. For those who are listening to the liberals propagating the fallacy that everything is "Bush's Fault",

  • @twitorpated Actually the statistic were kind. Many of them were government and were watered down while others were skewed by other issues. Example unemployment is much worse then numbers show. as we know they don't count the millions who stopped looking. We have the highest % of adults out of work since the great depression. Another example was the health insurance numbers which have several factors skewing the results including Opt outs and companies buying cheaper policies with higher co-pays
