Have you heard there's a bill right now in Congress that would immediately dismantle the entire federal unemployment insurance program -- and divert the federal funds to give even more tax breaks to corporations instead of paying unemployment benefits to long-term unemployed job-seekers
So let me get this straight... Rep. Camp and other Republicans introduced this bill to raise the debt ceiling, commentators pegged it as a move by the Democrats, and then Camp encouraged Congress to kill the bill because its just "theatre." Why is this such a game? Like when Republicans "satirically" supported single-payer health care. I can appreciate a sense of humor among elected officials, but when you put this crap up for vote in the House you are wasting everyone's TIME and MONEY.
