This is the first event held by the Oregon Regency Society. It was a regency party held at the historic Ainsworth House & Gardens in Oregon City. Laura Plett of Set to Music English Country Dancers called the dances.

Oh how I adore this! I've tried to get my friends interested in Regency Era and such costuming/playacting but they just want to watch movies with Keira Knightley. Not that that's a bad thing but really, it's so much more fun to make and wear the clothing and play the parts of young Regency ladies and gentlemen! Isn't it?

What a wonderful opportunity to play dress-ups! My only comment is that the ladies, young and old, should all have on hats and take off their gloves when they're eating :)

Ladies did not wear hats during evening events. Hats were reserved for daytime activities.
