@doseofreality100 seriously?! there are virtually identical! the only difference is x flight has an immelman and the swarm has an inclined loop! the whole theme and surroundings of the swarm are faaaaar superior to that of x flight! the swarm is taller, faster and has tons of near misses
@doseofreality100 something there to add to the experience, so the swarm added in some very very expensive theming included a crashed plane, fire engine, truck, helecopter and a destroyed church. is that the kind of intricate care that goes into american rides? i think not. their plan is to get rides, rides and more rides and just cram them into the park and make some more americans think that ride is taller and faster than that one therefore it is better overall. NO
@doseofreality100 long rollercoasters and the whole track or hydraulics is what the rides budget is all for, in the uk we generally have less space and so we make smaller rollercoasters which have high quality theming and surroundings, x flight and the swarm are nearly the same except x flight costs around £12 million and the swarm is £20 million, merlin/tussauds have a reputation for rides that have more to them then just height speed and inversions, they make every gap in the area have
@doseofreality100 in the usa rollercoasters are often built over concrete and have no story behind them, there is generally nothing around the track except more track. 4 example in the uk, nemesis at alton towers has a massive story behind it, it is built around the landscape and dips under gaps etc, saw the ride has theming all over the place and REALLY adds to the experience, nemesis inferno has its own volcano and exotic plants trees etc, normally america has lots of land so can build large
Wow, this coaster by Bolliger & Mabillard looks way better than the winged coaster to open next week at thorpe park in London. Yeah the one in london is tall, but other than the height it looks pretty lame. That coster is called "the swarm" feel free to check it out. X-flight looks better to me though.

@cbdq07 They are saying that because Dollywood will be opening there's in March. X-Flight won't open until May. So technically, they are first.
