it is amazing how erect and at ease Ghiaurov stands compared to Bruson, striking difference.

Its Muti on the piano, keeping the energy going though the recitative--he's always keen on making the Italian text as 'alive' as possible. Bruson sounds a bit dry vocally, especially around the lower notes, and the very top is an effort. Ghiaurov was past his best, but still has good moments.
