This is an installation for the 2011 Scion tC however the same process can be followed for almost all cars. This is just to show procedures and I am in no way liable for someone damaging there car, selves or others for your incompetency. This should be performed by an experienced person and I take no responsibility for someone taking on something they are not capable of handling

  • i have scion tc 2010 and i wanna install trd springs do i have to cut that peace in the front same as ur video because i didnt get instructions from trdsparks when i got my springs..

  • @2009ciko Basically when you install any lowering springs you cut the bump stop an equivalent amount to how much the springs will drop the car. so if your dropping it on TRD springs you should cut off about 1.5" since the springs should drop it 1.5"

  • I'm dropping my 08 tC 2 inches front and back, how do I know how much of the bump stops i have to cut? I don't have any sheets that tell me or anything....

  • @SpitfireZero Basically when you install any lowering springs you cut the bump stop an equivalent amount to how much the springs will drop the car. So if your dropping it 2 inches then you should cut 2 inches off of the bump stop. This allows your car to keep similar travel with a spring that lowers the car more. Let me know if you need any more help!

  • does th installation from the '11 to the '09 differ?

  • @famoushot21 Minor differences but in the rear but it's an almost identical process. It's really the front that would be the most challenging but they are exactly the same on the 09 and the 11 in the front.

  • Thanks for the video!! It was my first time changing springs and the video made it simple

  • for a tC1, don't you have to remove the whole strut assembly for the back?

  • Ur u going to post pic of it lowered??

  • Guys, I can honestly say that Obnoxious Performance is the way to go. If you purchase ANYTHING from them and have an issue installing it, the owner of obnoxious performance will literally bend over backwards to help you. I can say that from personal experience and anything and everything that I get for my 2011 tC will come from them. 74.3 thumbs up (if that's in any way possible).
