wow... nice amv.. but i haven't really watch the anime yet. actually i've just finish reading the vol. 7 of the manga (yes, i'm way too late..right?) so, i'm planning to watch the anime, to, also hear Ginko's voice.. bwahahaha!! sorry for sharing nonsense topic..hehe ^.^

It took me a long time to appreciate this anime. It wasn't that I didn't like the individual episodes, it was the lack of a continual story. I never felt the need to watch the next episode. It took me a year to get through, but I finally "got" the relaxing, mysterious atmosphere and philosophical undertones and loved it enough to buy the DVDs, and now I'd love to see another season.

@xninjazx6r And Family Guy is for morons who laugh at vulgar jokes. If "adults" can enjoy such a show then how is a work of theatrical art like Mushi-Shi -that actually has a story line and in depth meaning- for kids? If a kid were to watch this anime they would not understand nor could they appreciate its simplicity and beauty and the amazing way in which its ideals and concepts are brought to light. You, obviously, have not seen or did not understand this amazing anime.

@xninjazx6r Cartoon? NEVER call anime "cartoons" or manga "comics" to an otaku's face...that's just callow. "Anime is not a hobby, it is a way of life." If you don't get it, that's fine. Mushishi is hard to understand, so you don't have to get uit to appreciate it. It's deep and philosophical -it relies heavily upon the Shintou kami. If we are childish for appreciating the kami and the mushi, then we are no more childish than those who believe in God.

xninjazx6r you must have the intellect of 8-9 to say something like that. If you don’t like anime that’s your thing, but you do not have to talk trash to someone simply because you do not have the intelligence to comprehend such a simply concept that IS explained in the series. I also find it sad that you can not see the symbolism in fantasy and think that anyone who does must not be able to distinguish the difference between fact and fiction. I pity people like you, your life must be..... dull.
