  • 3406C is mechanically controlled-quite possibly the most reliable engine ever made. 3406E, C15, C16, C18 all are electronically controlled.

    Nope. Theres no tubing connecting the turbo outlet to the intake elbow. For this video, its running (unfiltered) and naturally aspirated.

  • @redneck3071 .makes sense.I drive an 07 kenworth with c-15.I dont like how long it takes for it to spool up.thanks for reply

  • @5150ramjet yes, however they are totally different engines. C series are computer controlled, the newer ones are twin turbo up to 800hp i think. the 3406 is all mechanical and tops out at 650 i think.

  • @WesternStar4900SA it blows a 300 mph jet of hot air at the walls

  • can i get the same horsepower between a 3406 and a c-15?If so whats the difference.

  • On this test, does the turbo do anything?
