In this episode, we explore more of the Temple of the Ancients, learn a little bit of Sephiroth's plan, and find some decent treasure.

  • Using IIII instead of IV on clocks is a tradition that goes back to the famous 14th century clock of Wells Cathedral, England. IIII as a replacement for IV was fairly common in manuscripts at the time, although today it's rare to see in writing. On clack faces the convention rose steadily in popularity for a few centuries and at a time was prominent in all countries that use Roman numerals. Clocks with IIII are still common today in Western Europe because it evokes the image of an antique.

  • So far I've seen both IIII and IV on clocks. Personally I prefer IV but it's not that difficult to see where they got IIII from.

  • Legends of the Hidden Temple was my favorite 90's Nickelodeon game show aside from Wild and Crazy Kids xD

  • @GalufTheInvincible Actually, 'IIII' doesn't exist in Roman numerals. IV is the correct way to write '4', like he said in the video.

  • They use "IV" instead of "IIII" because iv fits the logo of final fantasy 4

  • the 'iv thing was invented by clockmakers, the romans used 'iiii' etc. So there's historical precedent for the foul-up

  • @Rockerbro3371 that is so funny on that ep. now that i read this i am gonna watch that ep again! lol

  • 00:59 is that another Lurch reference? Lurch ftw! Besides: Can't wait to see the rest of the series. Good job so far, HC.

  • I wouldn't be surprised if HCBailly actually gained a few subscribers for giving this video the title he gave it. That, or he gained a lot of haters. But, screw them, he did say this was a video game.

  • "why do the ancients have a gun"

cause some guy jacked a itty bitty baby, and he never was gonna be the same.

they wanted to make sure they had a gun.

also the JRPG trope were 'The Ancient Civilization is more advanced then yours' (Mass Effect also applies, although there a explanation for that)
