Corsair h70 - Looks and Temps

Just a video of what the h70 looks like in a full size tower along with the type of numbers that I am getting with it installed compared to my stock heatsink.

Nice video. Sweet looking build. I just installed an H70 inside my new AMD 560BE & MSI 790FX-GD70 build. Noticed a 9-10 C drop in idle & load temps within the same room (under stock hsf). I'm stoked. But I also lapped the cpu as well as the H70 base/block. They fit so nicely, TIM might not have even been required, heheh. I wish I had seen your video before I purchased the cooler, but looks like I made a correct decision as you did also. Congrats!

i agree the temprature inside the case will be hotter if you have the h70 intaking from the back of the case and blowing it inside....i too would prefer it intaking inside and blowing air out of the case...i read reviews on it and they prefer it intaking inside :)...your temps would probably better though if you fix your cable mgt...im still deciding though if this is the cooler i want to go with...i love the look of it and does compete really well with the best air coolers out...

@savator408 This is the first time I tryed any water cooling. Id love to make the whole computer water cooling but its just to expensive for me. Price of books is killing me lol. The Noctua NH-D14 has about the same temps, but the thing is super fucking huge so you really have to be careful. I did a build for a friend of mine and he bought that and it barely fit in a full size tower. I decided to go with this over the D14 just because someone i game with talked me into it. lol

I must say I have the HAF 932 case and a zalman 9900 max R cpu cooler, AMD 965 Black edition. O.C. to 3.8ghz My temps under load with Wprime running for 9 hours max are 56c. and idle of 33c. Let me know what your temps get to with the thing overclock to 3.8 with voltage at 1.4875 is stable now you can get it stable at 1.46. but just to be on the safe side mine is at 1.4875.

@ReaperXX87 it would be cooler if i fixed all the lose cords in the case. Once i get my new case in two weeks, i will reorganize everything so the airflow is better. If i have enough money, im going to upgrade my vid card. This was the best card i could get a college student budget! lol

Damn... those temps are still pretty high.. what was the Ghz @? I'm pushing 4.0ghz with 19C @ idle. The highest it has went on a Linux based stress test, was 25C~26C

I'm also trying to find out if it's true that Intake > exhaust on the H70.. I personally don't want to deal with dust. Above that.. I plan to replace the corsair fans too... Looking to get Delta fans (4k rpms) :D

I'm disapointed. Mine is too loud. I mean. I think its the case because i dont hear the wind noise or what its called i hear like a noise when my mother was cloth

you know i was about to ask whether you are pulling from inside the case or not. now when you said that your tower temperature will rise, is that doing it the way the instructions tell you? plus i would never pull from outside the computer and push into the tower with the cooler anyways....poor air flow for the pooter. thanks

yah.... once ur cpu hits 70c.. its time to stop lol, good move with goin theH70 route. you can get that cpu to 4ghz no prob, just make sure you research what voltages to up and what to not touch ex...
