Isn't it a wonderful scene?
Useless trivia: this was Jimmy Stewart's first film and romantic scene on-screen SINCE HE CAME BACK FROM THE WAR, and he was afraid he would be, um, out of practice, but the kiss was so passionate that the censors had to edit it. All Jimmy needed was one take to nail it.
And consider yourself warned: Anyone who posts unnecessary comments about James Stewart's (or Frank Capra's) rumored racism or politics will be deleted. I hate censorship but this just gives freedom of speech a bad name.

The tension and passion in this scene is so intense. More intense than what's served up from nearly every major Hollywood film nowadays. Donna and Jimmy don't need to get naked and talk dirty (I don't mind that stuff though, lol) on screen to get the point across. I love this film so much!
Back when women were women? What about when men were men.... oh but we'll never get that back. There definitely aren't too many men who can act like the real Jimmy Stewart these days. He knew how to treat a woman I'm sure. Great scene.
Jimmy Stewart was about as far from racist as you could get. Conservatism doesn't mean racism. I'm liberal and I still admire him because, unlike actors now, he actually walked the walk AND talked the talk. Got to love the old school Hollywood stars.
