Featuring Lotus Palm founder Kam Thye Chow and his teacher, mentor and friend, Asokananda, this 30-minute documentary DVD explains both the physical and spiritual aspects of the Lotus Palm School's Thai Massage lineage.

In this excerpt, Asokananda demonstrates traditional Thai massage techniques on his willing assistant, Kam Thye.

Asokananda is regarded as an important historical figure in the world of Thai Massage. His untimely death on June 24th, 2005 was mourned by many but his legacy lives on. Asokananda, a native German, was arguably the leading Western teacher of Traditional Thai Yoga Massage.

Based in Lahu hilltribe village in Northern Thailand, "Asoka" researched and taught Thai massage, yoga, and Vipassana meditation all over the world for more than 15 years.

Asokananda personally trained some of the most established teachers of Thai Massage in the West today including Saul David Raye of the Ritam School of Healing Arts in Topanga, California and Kam Thye Chow, founder of the Lotus Palm School in Montreal, Canada.

Kam Thye was Asokananda's assistant for many years and both schools carry on his lineage.

Produced by Vipassana Productions, this documentary DVD on traditional Thai massage is available for purchase in the Lotus Palm School's Thai Massage Shop at http://www.lotuspalm.com/shop.asp
