The plane is vibrated at some specific frequency. The waves travel across the plane and at some places they add together and at other places they cancel out. Where they cancel out the salt stucks because there is no vibrations and at other places it just gets vibrated away.

  • @saint7412369 You obviously don't know jack shit about guitar either.

    Kindly FUCK OFF!

  • @MarkArandjus

    Hyperbola..

It's not so much that the waves stabilise. It's what's known as a standing wave, if a wave propogates and hits a wall, end of a beam, side of a plate etc. It is immediately reflected, causing supportive/destructive superposition. The wave effectively stops propogating(though it still is) and appears to stand still and oscillate in position.

Relax buddy. Also I watched your video, I would have thought your overwhelming knowledge of vibration theory would mean you wouldn't suck at guitar.

  • I've just done a course in vibration/resonances for my mech engneering degree. Where was the exciter placed in this example?

  • @toonaxis You're a fucking idiot, honestly. Typical ignorant person to what can happen in this world. It's just physics. I did it in year 12. Seen it with my own eyes. Now i'm at uni and things like this don't even bother me any more.. Because i know it can happen.

  • @toonaxis its not actually...

  • This is obviously fake.

  • oh the implications! :)

  • @crackfoxmusic

ahaha perhaps this was the inspiration for the acid house squelch
