this was really one of my favorite espidoes of AYAOTD.

Yeah, well actually.. a banshee (or bean sí, as they are called in Ireland)is a figure who wails around the house of a person who is about to die. Although, in later versions, her prescence means a person is mortally in danger (meaning they "could" die) or when many of them appear it means someone who is going to die that is holy and good. But they weren't the most scary figure, the real scary Irish figures were the Dullahan and the Cóiste Bodhar (Death Coach).

That's a really interesting idea! Even though this story is set in the present, it wouldn't take much adaptation to set it several decades earlier.
