They all look and sound like they are having a really great time...especially the percussionist!

Yeah the B-Side to his first solo single as someone alluded to. Remember playing it on one of those juke boxes in the 'real Kingdom' that year! Yeah and Pino Palladino on bass, later of The Who

the visual quality is impeccable... looks like it was recorded today. I have almost everything this guy has done.
I know Paint on Paint got panned as Nick was gone but I would enjoy having a copy or at least hearing some of it again.
Nick is WAY under rated & completely BRILLIANT! My fave is Whistle down the Wind, extended.

Class track from a class album

What a gem!!!! this was one of my favourite tracks from the brilliant North of a Miracle album.
I may be wrong but I think that this was Nick's first appearence on live television as a solo artist.
Wonderful musianship from guys who looked like they were genuinely enjoying themseves.
Still can't understand why North of a Miracle didn't sell more than it did but from watching this clip I think the music was perhaps a little too intricate and accomplished for the teenybopper Haircut fans. It's actually too good!!
Great quality upload, thanks for posting.

The 'pipe smoking bongo player' is none other than the late Morris Pert, jazz, classical and experimental music composer, 'go to' session man for McCartney, Phil Collins and countless others, and last but not least, his first band as drummer with The Vegas in Arbroath circa 1966.
