Smackdown! - 12.3.10 - Layla v. Rosa Mendes

I-I-I... I just don't know what state of mind I'm in! What I do know is that I need a sit down with either Dr. Phil or Dr. Oz, or heck, maybe even Oprah! What is going on with LayCool? What in the blue hell is going on?


This week, we see Rosa booked in a match with Layla. To begin the confusion, not only is Rosa now babyface... but she's also sporting a new head of brunette hair. Her wardrobe? It looks like something taken out of the dearly departed closet of Jillian Hall and Candice Michelle. This just starts the insanity. Eventually, Layla makes her way down to the ring, and of course, she's peppy as always. Michelle is by her side, and this week... we'll just say she's looking rather mature for a WWE Diva. In a way, she looks like a "pretty hot soccer mom," or... a MILF (are we allowed to say that?!), that is of course, if she were a mother. Nevertheless, Michelle looks quite subtle with her blown-out hair and simple black ensemble. Here's hoping that next week, she's bringing sexy back!


Okay, okay... so it wasn't the most eventful episode if we're bringing back the old fashion review, now is it? In any event, Layla and Rosa start off in the ring, and to be quite honest... we couldn't tell you exactly what was going on. We were much too distracted with Rosa's flamboyant ring attire, and giggling to ourselves: "What if Michelle wore that? Hehehe..." Speaking of Michelle, our eyes dilate as we see her quickly jump onto the ring apron, getting herself involved. Rosa is distracted for a quick second, but instantly counters a sneak attack from Layla, which leads into a LayCool collision. Michelle is knocked off the apron, some back and forth's... and then Layla hits her Layout for the 1-2-3!


Okay. It all happened so quickly that we were a bit taken back by LayCool's celebration in the ring. Really? That's it? I suppose that's a step into the right direction then, right? Wrong! Just as LayCool were about to have some fun with Rosa, picking at the Caribbean caucus, does a little green midget decide to spoil the fun! Okay, so maybe his attempt ended in an epic fail and we did get a good chuckle out of LayCool actually having to lower their standards to even acknowledge him -- quite literally! LayCool got down on their knees and decided to pick a fight with the little guy, only... not really! We're pretty sure that the Faithful Followers across the globe all busted out in laughter in beautiful unison when we saw Michelle and Layla doing the "heidi-ho" dance!


But then of course, with our laughter does WWE decide to rain on our parade! Thunder down the ramp, we see Butch Phoenix like a hog in the wild. She cleans house, and blah... blah... blah. And why? For what reason? Does LayCool have the championship? No! They were innocently in the ringing having a few good laughs, then that butch bully had to ruin everything! Seriously, WWE? Seriously? We're back to where we started!


Is it time for the Faithful Followers to gather in protest outside of WWE Headquarters yet, or do we give them one more week?
