@aaallenania You're totally right, the fact is they reported the building was down before Bush knocked it down. Another fact is that they reported it when the time was 5:54 PM in New York.

Excellent points right there. However, the last one can be explained if they were looping footage and not showing live feeds anymore. As I remember, by 5PM NY time they had started showing armature footage and footage from earlier in the day.

The firemen, with their knowledge of fire damage to building structure, pulled out of WTC 7 early, knowing it was doomed to fall. A hour or so later it did. This is where the famous line "... decided to pull it and watch the building fall ..." came from. As for the early report, BBC probably got tipped off about the firemen leaving and, being a news network trying to be the first out with new info, reported the building as fallen before getting their facts straight. No mystery.

There is usually a 5 hour difference between these two locations. However, USA and the UK have different daylight savings schedules.
In 2008, during the middle March and at the end of October through the beginning of November the time difference will be 6 hours.
and that still doesn't change the fact that WTC 7 was still standing in the background behind the reporter as she announced the collapse.

London uses GMT, which is four hours later than EST, not five. So at 21:54 in London, it would have been 5:54 in New York, a half hour after building 7 collapsed.

@RugtimXII ... 21:54 in london - GMT-0 = 16:54 in new york GMT-5 .... and there is another BBC newscast on this youtube channel where the reporter announces the collapse of WTC7 ... with the building still standing in the backround ....
