  • Neat sounds, pensive vibe... Enjoyed it. I don't think plucking higher up enhances your sound however. I would say it's not value added for the most part... altho towards the end you do get better contrast in tone.

  • Thanks for your comment, vantagestudios. im sure it doesnt come across from this crappy camera recording, but the difference in tone you get plucking along the strings is huge. very sharp nasal tone at the bridge, and much richer in bass towards the neck. plus adds some theatrical value if you wish.

  • don't give up, its bound to come! you need to learn the scales, fingers are ok, but not much structure, even the chords bared will give you an even pattern to lay something down, no matter what you think I'm trying to give you constructive criticism, maybe you can play all over me,thats great, all the best

  • wow, and i thought you were only good at insulting... maybe in a while you will even begin to appreciate that music can be felt, enjoyed, understood and played in multiple different ways. some benefit from structure, some avoid any form of structure, some are based on scales and some are not...now, your turn to upload some of your discoveries so we can all enjoy, slag or whatever

  • I just today got my first tricone National . THANK YOU!!!Cannot Say more....

  • Congratulations! they're fantastic instruments, get better and better in time. many happy hours with your own tricone :)

  • Superp!!!!!!!!!! Brings me back to India..

  • Very cool improv. I hope I can get to this level some day

  • @blackmud23 Yeah that was my thought after the fact actually. I was thinking maybe the camera mic was not picking up the subleties. I have a friend who bought an external stereo mic to plug into his camera and that seemed to really improve sound quality. I haven't tried recording like that myself yet, however, his results were an improvement over the on board cam mic.

I like vids like yours. It gives other a chance to view technique and style up close. Thanks for posting.

  • I guess I heard alot more than everyone else. I really enjoyed it. That was great and hope to hear more. Thanks

  • I have taken the challenge, am ready for the criticism, plenty more to come.

  • wow, i had no idea how sweet the tricone sound really was
