Jim lived with Pam in a house between the Canyon Country Store in the heart of Laurel Canyon. In the song Love Street he talks about "a store where the creatures meet" He was talking about this store and the many rockers who lived in Laurel Canyon at the time - The Byrds, Mamas and the Papas, Crosby, Stills and Nash, Joni Mitchell, Zappa.

  • Actually the street he was referring to was Laurel Canyon Blvd in the Hollywood Hills - "There's a store where the creatures meet" is the Laurel Canyon Country Store.

  • love street is in venice beach isnt it?

  • @anonwebserfer

yes the house is there although it was majorly renovated in the 90's. When we were making the film the owner tried to get us to buy the house in it's disheveled condition to use in the film. We passed. It is the house I am pointing to in the video clip.

  • is any part of the house still left i think i saw a photo in a bio "called get out alive" ll that was left was a bunch of 2 by 4s sticking out on a floor on a stick foundation think it was a bit burnt to. or that was his residence and also david crosby lived near by.

  • @marts500 Dude, don't make fun of fat people!

  • wow..i bet you could hear mama cass rumbling down the canyon on the way to the store there."Me hungry!"

  • me and my boyfriend Simo are a lot like jim & pam...i just hope we dont end up like them.

  • Bazzyboodle,

If you visit the site for bsj2312 you will see that these miscreants from Florida are beyond redemption.

I hope you enjoyed the Doors site.

  • Sorry it took so long to respond. Been busy filming. We filmed that scene at an architecturally splendiforous house above Elysian Park here in LA. Since the house was built on a hill we had to erect scaffolding all around it and build platforms to allow for all the entrances and exits that are in the scene.

  • LOL err.....

     anger management anyone?
