I have a question that just occured to me. This episode is titled "hugo II", now does that mean there was a hugo I?

Yes, "Hugo I" was a different segment. That one focused on a family that was in a house when a radio tower fell on it. It's not up, but it aired on Episode 118.

Very interesting segment. When Darren calls 911 because he was worried about his mother and that she was worried about him as well, it made me smile on that.

21 years ago today Hugo Hit South Carolina, as a Hugo Survivor one can never understand how it is till you have lived thu an event like this one!!!

I remember Hurricane Hugo but not first hand . I went through Hurricane Andrew ! Remember living in South Florida , my very first year after moving from Michigan . South Florida was issued a Hurricane Watch for Hugo and then Savhannah,Georgia !

I don't mean to sound crass - but what kind of moron bothers calling 911 in the middle of a violent hurricane? I mean DUHHH.. no one is going to come out and rescue you under conditions like that. Good lord!

That was 20 years ago. I was 7 years old and Andrew was 5. We were safe in Arizona back then. That was frightening. The people had no food, no electricity, nothing for a long, long time. It was like they were pioneers. Think about that.
