"Bedaf" is unique, because of it's rich nature, woods, the heather, sand dunes....
On a special place on the top of one of the hills it is even possible to see the skyline of 's Hertogenbosch! (distance 26 km)
The so called "Bedafse Bergen", or "Bedaf Hills" are loved by people of all ages. You see a lot of activities there: children to play in the lovely soft sand, people who are there for Nordic Walking, or just walking, and also on Saturday morning a lot of very sportive men and women to jog, to run, to train, for themselves, alone, or in a group, like those from Cross Country Skiing Club "Langlaufvereniging Bedaf".

The atmosphere.
The sand. I loved it to run there, it was not easy, it felt like I ran with lead in my shoes, even more when we had to run uphill, in tempo!!
Hard working, but great.
When we had trainings, with the cross country skis, to learn to go down hill, it was nice to fall in the soft sand!
That is why there are some pictures of only "sand" in the video. A great memory!

I had many many so happy hours there.

In dit vierde deel van "Uden, de groenste stad van Europa 2009" gaan we door de velden richting "Bedaf".
"Bedaf" is uniek, vanwege haar rijke natuur, bossen, heide, zandduinen...
Op een bepaalde plek op één van de heuvels, en bij goed weer, is het mogelijk om het Provinciehuis van Den Bosch te zien!
De "Bedafse Bergen" zijn geliefd bij iedereen. Je ziet er veel activiteiten: spelende kinderen in het heerlijke zachte zand, mensen die daar zijn voor Nordic Walking, of om "gewoon" te wandelen, en op de zaterdagochtend zijn er veel sportieve mannen en vrouwen om er te joggen, hard te lopen, om er te trainen, voor zichzelf, alleen, of in een groep, zoals de leden van Langlaufvereniging Bedaf.
Als je geïnteresseerd bent kun je hun website bezoeken.
Je leeftijd is niet belangrijk, ze hebben zelfs leden met de leeftijd van tachtig, en ouder....
Zij bewijzen dat het erg gezond is om te blijven bewegen...

Ik draag deze video op aan die bijzondere vereniging, aan alle trainers en vrienden vanuit de tijd dat ik lid was.

De sfeer.
Het zand van Bedaf. Zacht, maar loodzwaar om er doorheen te lopen, laat staan (er tegenop) te rennen, maar... fantastisch om er "in" te vallen bij de trainingen met de langlauflatten.

Ik heb er vele gelukkige uren beleefd.

Dank jullie allemaal voor jullie vriendschap en voor de heerlijke lachsalvo's...

The snow is still here, but... the temperatures are rising, so.... well, I can go to the supermarket with my bike again, could not do it earlier because it was too dangerous, could fall, and.... need to do shoppings for Christmas...! Don't have a car..... (anymore).

For giving me important support and lessons behind the scenes, telling about kinds of qualities, and so on, to make my videos better, and better, and I have to learn a lot, still, but I love it that you are here, watching, I am honoured. The tomatoes: well... that is my problem with WMM, still, they are berries, from the rowan tree.... and WindowsMM transforms them into tomatoes.... :)
