27 March 2011, Update on Japan nuclear disaster, by North Japan resident, energy & agriculture writer on the outlook if this analysis of filtered news is true: "All the reactors are screwed and we are looking at the very worst situation right now. Even on the BBC those mysterious water puddles the TEPCO guys paddled in have 10,000 times the radiation levels. 10,000. That means the core reactor is leaking. The zirconium cladding tubes of the spent fuel rods are also cracked like broken egg shells. Reactor 3 with the MOX uranium and plutonium is responsible for the now much higher radiation levels (8 times last week - which was bad enough in itself).Vast tracts of northern Japan, including Tokyo and as far south as Osaka are going to be uninhabitable. Hokkaido may be ok, but too cold to support life without adequate cheap fuel." More at http://candobetter.net/blog/89 Tony Boys wrote chapters on Japan and North Korea without cheap petroleum for Sheila Newman, (Ed).The Final Energy Crisis, Pluto Press, UK, 2008

  • i hope you stay safe. the world is with you. most of us are doing what we can. i would like to see the world start taking in the refuges from the coast. atleast until there is safe place, jobs and housing for them to go home to. i know people by the thousands would be offering to put people up. tho i live in a studio i would go help out any place that housed them. we need to help the people safely ride out the nuclear problem. it is bad enough sacrificing workers to it. Bless you all
