@82coxy ACTUALLY the kx is the fastest that bike you saw is COMPLETLY stock, stock motor stock gearing stock suspension the only thing they changed was the handle bars and they lowered it a bit but its still the stock suspension so go do some more research because you dont know shit about bikes

@cobnutts the ktm still holds the record for fastest unmodified dirt bike, have you seen the picture of the kx your going on about you can't class that as a dirtbike anymore, if you did a jump on that it would fall apart.

@jensethellis Sorry to tell you but the kx500 is the fastest mx bike EVER made and it holds the CURRENT record of 125.8mph so everyone who thinks the ktm495 still holds the record go do some research this FALSE info about the ktm is fucking pissing me off you do know were in 2011 not 1981 anymore

You're daft. The only problem with an old KTM (which is a big one) is that you can't get parts for them. There's another guy on YT trying to restore a 495 and he's been waiting on a particular part for more than a year now. But, the KTM 495 is renowned as the only bike to out-run a 490 Maico and still holds the record for the fastest production motocross bike in terms of flat-out top speed.
That said, I would much rather have a Maico or Husqvarna first, because of the parts thing.
