All those "wasted" tax dollars actually recruit TONS of servicemen and women. Also the military builds in these events into it's budgets each year, they only do so many. Many many kids are influenced at a young age by events like this and say "I wanna fly that helicopter" kind of deal.

In the first place it's called jet-a, not helo-fuel.
At the current market value that dollar amount represents almost 3000 gal. of Jet-a. (more than the CH-47D can carry) nice analogy bozo, piss off and go bowling.

everyone thinks that was a big waste of tax dollars. a quick helo ride is no where near the amount of wasted tax dollars as half these people on wellfare and disablity. plus theres training value and recruitment value in that air insertion.

The world probably hates us for many reasons, however I don't think flying a pace car into a Nascar event really is the reason. :)

Great footage, logictox! I took some from the 6th row but it was with a regular digital camera and was from basically where the pace car paused before continuing on. Where were ya perched?
