These games were so cool for their time, but very hard to play the first time around. finding every detail and running in circles for hours made it hard for first timers!

I was obsessed with this game when I was like, 90....although this was not a game for a 9 year old. lol

Yeah, I hear you. It was to be a flagship fighting game franchise for Sega. Instead they disposed of the whole thing. And Eternal Champions was so successful, too. They certainly made lousy decisions, to be sure. Even by the time they made the Dreamcast, it still tanked because they didn't bother to include a DVD player with the console that might have given it a better chance to compete with the Playstation 2.

@Elfrunner It still pisses me off to this day that EC 3 got dropped for a shitty title that (SURPRISE!) bombed HARD.
Seriously...they dropped a winning formula to gamble on a bad idea. I'll tell ya, the suits at Genesis were total idiots; it's why the company eventually went belly-up.

Playing this game & the two 16 bit Shadowrun games is a Cyberpunk's Paradise. I love the grapphics in the new games, but many of them are lacking in the story department. Running in the shadows in a dark & gritty cyberpunk future...hell yeah! Makes me miss when there were more games like this.

A truly great game.
If they ever remake this game I hope they don't use CG animation. I say keep it to look like how it is, a graphic novel because that's one of the many things that makes this game so different. Only of course the artwork would be different... more daker I guess.
