Wow, tricky musical for a high school. I love her, but he is a little young for the role. I know its high school, but there is an edge required for Rochester that I think his voice (I am assuming high bari-tenor/ lyric tenor). His high notes as written are Gs and Fs, nothing for a tenor, but power notes for a true baritone. EXCELLENT musical director, however. Brava!

The girl has an interesting vibrato. She physically and vocally fits the character but i think her acting needs some work. I got the sensitive side to her but where's that fight and vigor? Jane Eyre is an independent woman who happens to crave rodchester and this song is about how she is keeping it in her "secret soul". The edward was the opposite. Good acting and physically fit but his voice doesn't fit. Too airy. But, it was an overal good performance.
