You have a Beautiful Tone!
-
Very nice! Very controlled! One of the best videos of how to use altissimo for delicate tones
-
It's a sound physics thing. The reason why these fingers work is because they are the most efficent way of getting the overtones of lower pitches to "pop out". more fingers are added for G# just because that is a fingering that either plays easily or in tune/with good tone for Anibal.
-
Will these fingerings work for an alto sax as well?
-
Been practicing altissimo to no avail, and today I finally got it! Everything just came out - your videos really helped.
-
Me being a sax player who has tried to achieve altissimo for many years, I can say that you make this look way too easy :)
-
what sax is that?
-
I get the fucking highest note out of the sax if i use the deepest B flat fingering^^
-
Sweet baby Jesus, I need to learn how to do that.
-
how do you do an altissimo E?
Very nice video - thanks - I managed G altissimo for the first time after watching.

Hello,
Very nice and controlled. If I may ask: What is your set up? I ask as you have range and control which are contradictions on most tenors.

how does one manage that kinda growly sound that you made around 5:06?

@deutschmasta1693 well you can hum while playing a note or you can drop you jaw just a bit in order to get some of the lower register to come out as if your octave key isn't working. This gives you a mix of the high note with a touch of the lower register. Some over blow the horn in order to achieve this effect although I have found this to affect the quality of your pitch as well as variations in intonation.
