i have just started bitcoin mining but i'am confused, if i start my computer to mine and then turn it off after a few hours will i loose all of the mining i have done from the previous hours and have to start mining again from scratch or will i start off where i left off, would appreciate any help with this thanks.

@DesiRoti no, if you are pool mining you wont loose any progress. If you are solo mining there really isn't such a thing as progress. But don't worry nothing will be lost.
