Can food help with memory as we age? Scientists have known of the potential health benefits of diets rich in fresh fruits for a long time. Plant phytochemicals (such as flavonoids) are historically believed to act as antioxidants in our bodies, but new research at the University of Reading suggests that they may also help to improve cellular communications in the brain and stimulate neuronal regeneration. In the future, a diet-based approach may be used to increase memory capacity and performance
