Motown History is no mystery. In the 60's CBS News Announce that Motown made an estimated 15 million dollars a year. The production line began with Motown producers & writers competing to create the next big hit, so secrecy was the key! http://tiny.cc/fqb7w

  • @musicgenius33 Didn't a lot of artists from Tin Pan Alley to Hip Hop have the same issues? It's a shady business. As Aretha Franklin once pointed out: at least Motown was giving their artists a chance for a long career by forcing the singers to learn standards and show tunes, not to mention access to national TV....which was everything in the 60s and 70s.

  • WOW!!!!!!!!

  • Motown made millions but the artists few died broke.

  • Martha & The Vandellas - the most Detroit group on Motown.

  • I LOVE MOTOWN!
