Siren City © 1983 Interceptor Software

Programmed by Ian Gray

Don't worry if you don't understand what I say. You're not missing anything important, thats for sure.

Got to be one of the worst games I've played so far...

Note: The loading time has been cut from the video to save time for gameplay. It does not load this fast from the floppy disks!

  • Very amusing video. That police car must be carry nitroglycerine around in it :p

  • @guv859 I was probably little bit too harsh on this game when I made the video. I really should try to read the instructions before playing each game, but im too lazy :P

  • @Polaventris Well, I enjoyed watching it, so I'm not complaining! I love the way you point to stuff on the monitor screen when you make these videos.

  • @guv859 I liked how in these videos you can see hardware in play, but it was huge chore to set up for every video and the video quality wasn't that great compared to capture card from S-Video out. Pro's and Cons into every method i guess.

  • I used to play this when I was a kid and loved it :-). A lot of this program was written in Basic too.

  • @TheGrumpstein Thats just the thing way back then. We didn't care if the game had the ultra realistic graphics or even if the gameplay made any sense at all. We just had the will to find out what the game is all about even if we had no idea. Now we are just so used to all tutorial stages and all that to walk us thru the awkward start.

  • i used to have this game on the 64,,, could never clear the first screen, ever!

  • @Polaventris Yeah. There was something about having to use your own imagination back then too. I remember "Adventureland" had me hooked as a kid, and had no graphics at all! These days everything is thrown onto the screen for you to see.

  • I have to confess I had to read up about this game later on to figure out whats the idea and it seems many of the missons in this are time based so you just have to survive without crashing long enougn.

  • Hey, don't give up. It is a nice game. Naturally not so great in today's standards. But it is quite interesting and there are different types of missions. Handling is hard and it makes it scary. Timing your turns is important. Also, it is not necessary to go full speed all the time.
