Most of these photographs are not 200 years old (hardly any are), but date from the very late 1800's to early 1920's or a bit after that. The ones of Heliopolis are definitely from the 1920's. You can see the densely built apartment buildings around the Basilica. Same goes for the pictures of Shepheard's Hotel.
By the way, the Hotel Continental (which was almost next to Shepheard's) still stands.
