  • Haha!

Our language might have similarity, regarding both pronounciation.

In Japan, especially in Kansai region, many of Finnish surname sounds like Japanese, and it accidentally have funny meanings.

I don't want to insult any Finnish, and hope many Finnish to understand this TV program has nothing to do with bad feeling.

  • takakura voi helvetti mikä sukunimi. TAKAKURA kuullostaa ihan löysältä paskalta mikä tulee... no juuri sieltä

  • Omg that guy was my japanese teacher! Erkki Ikäläinen!

  • Aho is idiot in Japanese. :)

  • How the heck am I supposed to understand what they're saying on this video :S

  • @Da1ai I think Mr. Ikarainen's name sounds the same as "Squid next year". Ashi is Japanese for foot, and Ahonen would be "Idiot year".

In English we have the same reaction to the central region of Japan: Kinki.

  • Well that joke works both ways ;) So who would get offended by it. I say laugh and have fun.

  • heeeeey .... my last name is Aho......

  • The meaning of many Finnish names is strange, but you only notice it when you translate them to another language...

  • Kontasiko Kokomaki, Mokomaki kusimaja, Hajosiko Toyotasi...

  • Japanese people are wonderful.. I have worked with them!

Wish you all the good in the world now after the horrible period you have gone through!

    Kisses to you all!!

  • jokohama humahuta mokomaki kusimuki= Finnish and means: shall I hit you, you damn pissmug.. LOL
