EPOCHATE is the new band of Victor Love (Dope Stars Inc.) and Noras Blake (Spineflesh/Edenyzed). A mix of Industrial Rock with heavy and concrete orchestrations, cutting edge guitars and killer vocals. A sound never experimented this way before; a concept album that will bring you to a new dimension of musical experience.

VICTOR LOVE: Production, Vocals, Guitars, Synthesizers, Drum Machine, Orchestral Programming

NORAS BLAKE: Synthesizers, Drum Machine, Orchestral Programming, Samples & Fx, Backing vocals

"Epochate is a look at the eternal struggle generated by thought and power. Epochate is the journey of mankind across philosophies, ideals and creed. A report of the attempts, defeats and victories of the human race through an age of wars, violence and arrogance.

As the world fades into oblivion, unable to endure the weight of its arrogant sovereigns, all we can do is wait for the inevitable to come and the balance to be restored at the end of this dying era.

Epochate is not a new beginning.
Epochate is the end."

Well just listening to a single genre is rather limiting. No one can possibly be in the mood for the same thing all of the time. That would be like only eating chocolate and refusing anything else. As great as chocolate is, you're going to get tired of it at some point.

  • @Misery706 Uh, I'm from Macedonia, and since I'm very passionate about music I just can't live without good: Ebm, Industrail, Metal, IDM, Ethno (Mediterranean only), Downtempo, Pop... (SITD, FLA, Unheilig, Eisbrecher, Rammstein, Within Temptation, Evanescence, Nemesea, N7, Jon Hopkins, Recue, Trentemoller, Mercan Dede, Sweet Coffee... are just small part of my favourites) As you can see there is alot of genres, but again like you said depending on the mood...

  • @kyrborg

What I've heard of A Life [Divided] is definitely on the mellow side but not at all bad. My favourites range from classical through industrial, so it's quite a list and depends for the most part upon my mood at the time.

At the moment, the likes of 2 Cellos and Apocalyptica and other similar bands are starring on my play list- I love the marriage of classical instruments and rock, metal & industrial.

I'm from all over - I move around and travel a lot. How about you (same questions)?

  • @Misery706 Anyway, I agree with you, but still this band is too cuddly for me, as you say... .I think they cross that thin line... so finally thi is too sweet f'me. And yes, there are too many bands like this one. I'm struggling right now with A LIFE [DIVIDED], they walkng on this line between harsh and sweet.

Where are you from? What are your favourite bands?

  • @kyrborg

I have to disagree. Epochate might not be quite as hard as a lot of European music, but they certainly don't sound American.

I can't seem to find any American bands I like that come anywhere near this genre. The ones that try either go overboard with the electronics & harsh voices so that it's just an overload of noise or they're far too cuddly for my tastes.

  • @Misery706 I didn't mean that, I mean that they sound like an american band.

  • @kyrborg

    Epochate isn't f-ing american.

  • Yes, let's bury metallica in the 80's. FLA are almost that old, but man, they make the best ebm/industrial music ever. Just look for the last album I.E.D....KMFDM, Gravity Kills, Powerman 5000, Rob Zombie are too shallow, too sweet, too american in one word. Try EISBRECHER, UNHEILIG, S.I.T.D. DANCE OR DIE ... or something else from Europe/Germany. This Epochate is too american, too.

  • Reminds me of KMFDM, Gravity Kills and Front Line Assembly. Thumbs up!!!

  • This is the End.
