You are an amazing artist, this is mega creative. : ) So long ago and I'm just now finding it.
-
@idusclothing It's The Maine.

That is some amazing freehand work, especially working timed (due to the bleach). I really want to paint a tree like this on a shirt, I've only done text/patterns so far... Very cool nonetheless and a good choice for music. :]

Hey how did you get the differnt colors?
-
how did u do the pink??
-
This Providence?
-
how long did it take to finish the whole thing?
-
The bleach won't eat through the shirt if you mix it with water.

What was the orange stuff on the tree??

Hey, how did u take the bleach off? Did u leave it on or did u put it in the wash?

i just left it on until it dried. then wore it and washed it as necessary hah

ahh the questions! hah lets see, yes i use straight bleach, i've been using a watercolor brush and it seems to work well, it is not a different color at the end, it is simply the bleach before it has had a chance to turn completely white. i DID do the tree upside down, on purpose. and yes the bleach wears through the shirt after a bunch of washes although the BDG shirt that i got from UO has lasted many many washes without any extra wear which is awesome since its my favorite!

the bleach doesnt wash out. the problem is that it tends to wear holes through the shirt after a bunch of washes. its tough finding shirst strong enough. i've found the BDG tshirts that urban outfitters sell have withstood the test of time the best in spite of seeming the thinnest

How do you get the different colored stains?
andyisthelegend 2 years ago
its not actually different color stains, its all bleach and all ended up white. It's simply the difference in time from the beginning to end. some of it was already dry [and so, White] white otther bits had just been applied and were a bit orange at first.
