My Victorian Bathing machine

When I bought the Langham Hotel, Eastbourne, in July 2005, I also purchased one of the last few remaining Victorian bathing machines in the country. It now stands outside the Langham as a tourist attraction, and in 2010 was filmed by BBC 1's THE ONE SHOW - and features my General Manager ANDREW COY being interviewed by JOHN SERGEANT.

My Bathing Machine was built in 1896 and was rescued by Julian Martyr from an allotment in June 1999, and was fully restored by him and the staff of the Langham Hotel at the time. Restoration was completed in April 2000.
