@Turtles9788 That is true ... but as it was mentioned by the vortigaunts in hl2 when you use the E-key on one of them they mention that they remember Freeman and can't forgive him for those who he killed but out of respect for freeing them and helping the resistance(rebels) which they are a part now they think of him as an ally and hero.

@skate3745 As do I, but they never call him Goron, only "The Freeman" . I think they do it as a sign of respect for those who've done good things, like instead of giving them a title such as..umm...destroyer of combines? They just call him by his last name, I think it means that simply his last name can be used as a sign of respect.
