@thinprincess87 Woah! I have a high tolerance for drugs and I can't even imagine taking that much and living. I have met someone who took up to 10 hits of larger then average doses of acid and became nearly catatonic when I(and the group I was w\)went to a Pink Floyd show.
@jcures whoa 35lbs in 2 weeks?! That's totally insane. I lost 12lbs in 2 weeks & 7lbs the week of prom(and I was eating taco bell at 3am with then bf too)
@thinprincess87 Tell me about the tolerance issue. I'm supposed to be on 40mg but can go through a month's worth in 3 days if I wanted. And add energy drinks and every stimulant known to man and I still feel like crap. This drug nearly caused suicide attempts in my life. Granted, my last I.Q test came out to a 156 on the WAIS but I probably only scored that high because I wasn't depressed beforehand after popping my addies
Adderall can be great; but it can also be detrimental. I didn't want to be taken off of it because of the weight loss and the high it brought but I could see it was destroying my life in the process. By the time I finally stopped taking it I had lost almost 60 pounds, was sleeping once every three days for six hour periods, and had begun hallucinating. I was switched to Dexadrine which is similar yet different. I was taking the medication as prescribed; imagine the consequences when abused.
I was on 30mg of Adderall XR for a couple of months. At the beginning the experience was great. I almost never felt the need to eat and the little I would eat would fill me up for the entire day. I was hyper-focused and hyper-social, always looking to talk to someone new. In only two weeks I lost 35 pounds. Then one day the world seemed too big. There was TOO much to conquer and too many people. I found myself locked inside my house and eventually a closet was the only place I was safe...
@heyballard Sure, from the perspective of certain users/abusers it seems great but they throw in Alex's story as a cautionary tale as well as cuts to a professional who explains the risks and dangers of adderall/amphetamine abuse. I'm sorry, but if weight loss and the the ability to hyper-focus out-prioritize heart problems, dependency, mood changes, irrationality, and/or death then said users may have a slanted view on priorities.
no better way to prevent relapsing than to give a guided tour of your former stash box
