Quick and dirty experimental toy.

For people asking schematic: I'm sorry but I don't have one. I've just built it like this looking at two other schematics:
1. Atari punk console: http://www.robthefiddler.com/electronics-audio-diy/circuit-experiments/atari-...
2. Baby sequencer: http://www.midiwall.com/gear/babyseq/
+ Extras: one more 555 as a clock for sequencer + noninverting opamp between sequencer output and atari punk console voltage control input.

So if you feeling adventurous and want to build one - go for it! It's not a rocket sience.

  • @plaukaspyragely Mine is working great except... I don't have the buffer in the circuit yet (waiting on op amps; might just break down and go to RS) is that why the CV from the sequencer outs don't change the pitch much if the CV on the APC is all the way up?

  • @Prohl84 Ah.. I risk to sound really stupid to some electronics engineer but.. For starters quote from wikipedia about CV pin: ""Control" access to the internal voltage divider (by default, 2/3 VCC)." .. So.. If you go higher than than that 2/3 VCC pitch changes in one direction, if lower - other. But the problem is diodes in sequencer which do not allow current go the other way, ie go below that 2/3 VCC. This is why I have the opamp buffer.

  • @Prohl84 So yes, it should somewhat work without the buffer but should get alot better when you add one.

  • schematic is fake!!!!!

  • @killkeyboard huh? Why would you think so?

  • Can you please give us the scematics? It will be so helpful

  • Where do you put the output of the sequencer? Im looking for a schematic but I dont find it , if you can draw a simple schematic or comment where goes i will thank you and upload a video of my atari punk console

  • awesome - i love this. I built an apc last week and am amazed at how musical it can be and yet so mental at the same time

  • Great! Can you upload a schematic somwhere?:)

  • The problem with suggesting that a simple Google search be conducted for the Atari Punk Console (APC) + sequencer to find a schematic is that other layouts use other methods than triggering through the CV input of the APC. One popular schematic uses the CV voltage from the sequencer to feed into the DISCHARGE pins on the APC version that uses two 555 IC chips. The video here appears to use the 556 IC version for the APC, a 555 for the clock, a 4017 for the sequencer, and op-amp voltage boost.

  • this is just soooo crappy :o

  • ЭТО ГЕНИАЛЬНО!!!!) Арс, я хочу аудио-версию! ;-Р

    Кидай на стену вконтакте!1!!!
