Excellent intro. I would actually define preterism differently. To me, preterists are those who believe the majority of the prophecies (but not necessarily all) were fulfilled in the pasts just as futurists are those who believe the majority (but not all) are to be fulfilled in the future. Those who think everything is in the past including the second coming I would call "hyperpreterists".

It may be sematics but as you know many futurists like LaHaye and Ice try to blur the differences between the two types of preterism to "poison the well" and lump men like R. C. Sproul in with hyperpreterists.

If you haven't seen my two follow up videos please take a look at them. I would be interested to know what category, if any, that you would put this belief of Revelation in. Frankly, I have never found anyone else who sees it this way. I would be interested in your opinion on this. Strange thing is that I know what I believe and am saying but do not really know if I fall into any of the known categories on this topic. Your knowledge and help is always appreciated. Yes, I understand. Some are partial preterists, full preterists, and now hyperpreterists. I do not know if I am 100% right but I consider all of them preterists as a group. In the strictest sense you are correct. Truthfully, I have just studied the Bible to know what I believe. At times I go out looking for similar interpretations figuring there has to be someone out there. Thanks for the post and GBU.

This is a very good opening presentation Mtzion. I can sense your desire to seek an understanding of God's truth and not our truth.
