I was there at the Channel in 1981. Springa threw a real pig's head into the pit to the tune of "Police Beat Me". None of the Boston skins were NazI punks AFAIK.

Depends on what you mean by 'Skinhead'. Not by any definition you'd recognize today, but he did bring the style back from England, and he freshcut his girlfriend. Still, that term was used pretty loosely in Boston in the early days.

I mostly agree...The Exploited, GBH, and English Dogs sucked....but Discharge kicked ass....they liked American bands and American bands liked them...in fact, SS Decontrol got their name from the Discharge song "Decontrol"
