Usually the logo broke apart at closedown. I think it was rare for the logo to stay in the screen

The TV Times looks to be the 21-27 May 1988 issue, so this could be Wednesday 18th May (early hours of Thursday 19th) - the ads would plug the following week's issue once it was published, as it would have been by this point.
